  On the 6th of February 2023, the students of DP 2 started their Extended Essay Viva and they presented it to their peers, students of DP 1 and some of the teachers in our DP program. This was very important for the DP 2’s because the recording of their presentation would be sent to IB and they would ask many questions regarding their Extended Essay. This was definitely one of the harder moments in the whole DP program.  The Extended Essay Viva is also really important for the students of DP 1 because they can understand how the structure of the Extended Essay will be, not exactly for writing the final report, but for what to focus on in their research question. The students of DP 1 were also able to hear the feedback that was given to their seniors, so they know what to look out for when they work on it.  The Extended Essay is an integral part of the IB diploma and is not an easy task.   On the 6th of February, Monday, 10 am, representatives from AECC came to AusIS to give a presentation in the auditorium on their services and procedures. They manage application processes free of cost and will assist in every step, from course selection to university application.    Their headquarters in Bangladesh are located in Dhaka, BTI Landmark, 16 Gulshan Ave, Dhaka 1212. After they were done giving the presentation at 11 pm, we all went to the cafeteria so that we could talk to a few of the consultants of AECC that came in one on one. The Meetings were held till 12:30 pm where students talked about where they wanted to study abroad or what do they have to do to study abroad.
