  As the class of 2026 embarks on their most anticipated journey through the Diploma Programme; a parent orientation session led by the DP coordinator and Vice Principal of AUSIS, Dr. Ponny Chacko was held to welcome the parents who are one of the key stakeholders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.   Enthusiastic parents, the biggest motivators and supporters of the students, arrived at the session held for them on the 4th floor. There, they were introduced to DP faculty and the subject teachers who will be guiding their precious children through the hurdles of the Diploma Programme and also learned what was expected of their children in both terms of academics and discipline. On the third of September, four representatives from the Canadian University Application Centre visited AusIS. They spoke with the DP 1 and DP 2 students regarding a single university - Saint Mary’s University from Halifax Canada. The four representatives included Ms. Maria and Mr. Rashid; the two head speakers for this visit who spoke to us about all the commodities and aspects Saint Mary’s had to offer.   To add on, the Canadian University Application Centre, or CUAC in short, is a well-recognized student recruitment company which was launched in 1997. They provide students with advice and knowledge about the fields of study and certain universities in which they may be interested in.   On February 8 and 9, 2023, the eagerly anticipated Annual Sports Day took place amid much passion, enthusiasm, and good times. Pupils, teachers, and parents all gather together for a day of competitive exercise on sports day. While some schools decide to award medals or prizes to the winners of the different competitions, for others, simply participating is a reward in and of itself. In his opening remarks, our school's director welcomed the distinguished audience and stressed the value of sports in a student's life. The Faculties, Mr. Jamil, our Sports Head, and the Director severed the ribbon to officially kick off the event to loud applause and music. The students entered into the spirit of the occasion in a grand way. An energizing equestrian display set the tone for the rest of the events.
