  On the 8th of September, the DP-2 students got to present their findings related to the ‘Collaborative Science Project’, an interdisciplinary study combining the science subjects of biology, environmental systems and societies, chemistry and physics. The students utilised the umbrella theme of water under the topic of ‘evaluating water safety through purification and testing’. Through the conducted experiments, students assessed parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), salinity, and water hardness. These elements are crucial indicators of water quality and have far-reaching implications for ecosystems, human health, and environmental sustainability.   Recently, the class of IBDP Year 2 has showcased a presentation on IB mandatory criteria called Group 4 project. Group 4 project is a collaborative work carried out by the students of science subjects which include physics, chemistry, biology, and ESS.    The goal of the group 4 project is to solve a specific problem involving all scientific criteria. We, the class of 2023, decided to address a problem involving the school cafeteria. The objective of the project was to improve food, nutrition, and energy system of the cafeteria. The topic was selected after we discovered that our school’s food systems are inefficient or do not produce their best results. As a result, we analyzed various solution for the issue to be resolved.   During, the planning process we experienced major setbacks due to lack of understanding on the overall concept of group 4 project.
