Today a parent from IBDP year 2 who had previously completed the course in 1992 volunteered to come to our class and give us a talk on a variety of subjects. He is currently a lecturer at one of Bangladesh's top universities. He talked about his life before and after IB. When asked about his educational background, he revealed that he had actually received a scholarship, had obtained his IB diploma in the UK, and had then traveled to other countries to further his study. He spoke about how doing IB impacted his life and how fortunate he and we are to have the opportunity to take IB. IB is completely distinct from other curricula and has its own special qualities. We also had a question-and-answer period during which we probed him about the challenges he encountered while finishing IB.
