Inquiry on Smart Farming: Designing a Greener Tomorrow

On the 2 nd week of November, IB DP Year 1 students have come together to work in an interdisciplinary project regarding sustainable agriculture practices. The collaboration was done between the Group 3 subjects: Digital Society, Economics, Business Management and Environmental Systems and Societies. The students worked hard to conduct research and find real world examples and create different presentations regarding the various prospects of sustainable agriculture and its advancements. Visit to EMK Center: A Hands-On Adventure in Technology and Innovation

Students from IB DP Year 2 and WACE 11 had an exciting and educational visit to the EMK Center, diving into the world of technology through interactive activities. The day began with a fun introduction to Makey Makey, where students turned everyday objects like paper and pencil into touchpads, blending creativity with basic electronics. They then engaged in a problem-solving session, learning the importance of asking the right questions before diving into solutions. Next, the students experienced the thrill of coding with a drone flying activity, where they controlled mini drones using tools similar to Scratch. Additionally, they got hands-on experience with SketchUp software, creating 3D models of houses, which helped them understand the basics of design and architecture. Glimpse into the Future of IB DP Year 2 Students

Only a few months left till Batch of 2025 completes their 2 years of the rigorous IBDP course. This has shaped them to tackle any challenges, with creativity and resilience, in their upcoming university lives. Speaking of which, the DP-2 students have been given the task to share their future university plans with the Career counsellor, Mr. Hasin Ishrak, and the DP coordinator, Ms. Pony Chacko, to further support them in their future endeavours.   The students had showcased some insightful presentations, along with their current goals and actions, their preferred universities and additional information, which portrayed their interest and diligence towards their future plans. The presentation was followed up by a question-and-answer session, but nothing to worry about!
